About Pastor Allen
Dr. David D. Allen served the Lord at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hazel Park, Michigan for 50 years.
He is considered by many to have been one of the great Bible teachers of our time. When he first came to the Calvary Baptist Church in 1942, he told his wife Dorothy, “Don’t unpack yet, I’m going to tell it like it is.” And
that is exactly what he did; led by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Allen preached the Word of God fearlessly and faithfully “in season and out of season.”

Mission Statement
The purpose of this website is to make available to the world the sermons of Pastor Allen that were recorded decades ago. These preserved messages (4000+) were recorded from the Sunday morning worship service, the Sunday night and Wednesday night services as well as the Sunday morning Berean class that Pastor Allen taught during Sunday school each week. Many of the sermons were broadcast live on a local radio station in the Detroit area. The amount of preparation that went into these messages as well as Pastor Allen’s ability to extensively memorize scripture that is so clearly displayed in these recordings, testifies to the unwavering commitment he had to God’s word.
The sermons on this site were carefully transferred to MP3 format from the original master tapes that were graciously donated by the church. We are starting with the Gospel of John and will add other books of the Bible until they are all transferred and on this site. The Gospel of John contains nearly 100 sermons that were recorded over an almost two year timespan! As the former minister of music at Calvary, Chuck Ohman recently said, “More people will have the ability to be reached now in one hour, than in Pastor Allen’s entire 50 years of preaching at Calvary.” We are also working on having these sermons translated into many other languages. Dr. David D. Allen’s ministry continues. May the Gospel of Jesus Christ be spread throughout the world and may God’s name be glorified.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
